New Blog

I started another new blog.  Why -- I don't know :)  I am crazy?

Let's face it...I'm a "natural" when it comes to deal shopping.  I know how to work the system.   I know how to get the coupons, where to find the deals, and when the best time is to shop. Well, I know these things; however, it doesn't mean that I always do it right or am perfect at it....or have wittled our budget down to $30/week for groceries...but I am getting there.

Come learn some of my secrets and tips of the trade.  I just wrote up a post tonight about Holiday Station Stores and some of the great deals you can score.

Fun Finds For You

I hope you will check it out!

I forgot to tell you Cody's new phrase!

GARAGE SALE

Yes, it's true.  He is my son :)

Mama is so proud.

New Feature!

You've probably noticed that I've been making some changes to the blog recently. Can you tell that I really want to get more into blogging and trying to learn everything I can? I'll admit that I bought both of those "Dummies" blog books! (Don't fret, there is a $5 mail-in-rebate on each book until April 30th, and there doesn't appear to be a limit per household. Yahoo!)

There is a brand-new feature on my blog now that I think you will like! If you look on the right hand column, at the very bottom, there will be a graphic that highlights a few different coupons. If you click on this link, it will bring you to coupons.com where you can print out a multitude of manufacturer (and occasionally, store) coupons. If you use my link, I will get a teeny tiny, probably fraction of a penny, referral credit for page views and/or printed coupons (I think). I really don't know how it all works, but I know that I use the printable coupon sites all the time, so I may as well be getting the credit for it!

One of the most important things about coupons.com and other printable coupon sites, is that you can usually print two of each coupon. You will select the coupons you want to print, and then once they have printed, you can hit your back button, refresh the screen when it prompts, and it usually will print again. Yah!

Anyway....I know many of you are not into couponing, and that is fine...but if you want to take a stab at it, now's the time! Let me know if you try it.

Right now, there are some fantastic coupons on the site - there is a $3.00 Huggies coupon that I have made good use of! :) Also, right now there is a good $1.00 off Welch's juice coupon which should make for some inexpensive beverages. Put in your zip code to get local deals. They add new coupons all the time, so keep checking back!

Good luck and happy couponing!

Testing!

Testing!

I screwed things up :(  I was trying to make my blog template different (stupid me.) and now the comments section is showing up at the top of the posts instead of the bottom.  Arrghh!  Help!

Guess Where I'm Blogging From!!??!?

I'm too excited.  Guess where I'm blogging from??  Our comfy couch, in the middle of our living room, on my shiny, brand new, MacBook laptop computer!!  Wahoo!  We've been talking about getting a laptop computer for awhile now, and waivering back and forth between getting and not getting one, and Gordon finally just decided to put me out of my misery and get me one!  It's my early Mother's Day gift.  They had a really good deal ($200 lower than the Apple Store) on a not-so-fancy, but just-perfect-for-me, MacBook computer at MicroCenter in St. Louis Park.

There's about 52 things that we have on our "to buy" or "to save for" list that are priority over a laptop, but I'm sure that I will enjoy it immensely :)

I hope that this will maybe help me blog more...and help me possibly start a for-profit blog.  We'll see!

For now, here's one of our cutie enjoying this picture-perfect weather weekend!

Breakfast! The Most Important Meal of the Day!

Recently, General Mills through MyBlogSpark provided me with four coupons to try their cereal for free!  Our family tried Cinnamon Chex, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Special K Fruit & Yogurt...twice!  Gordon really liked the Special K cereal...we bought it a few different times after we tried it for free.  It is really yummy...and good for you, too!  They also provided me with $1 off coupons, which are always good to have on hand for cereal.  With the coupons, I tried the Special K Low-Fat Granola and found that I absolutely _love_ granola!  Who knew...I am totally ~not~ a crunchy granola-y girl!

Yummy!  What a great deal!
